Trailmix is a subscription based newsletter & platform for trail-runners that wanted to completely refresh their brand. They felt their old brand lacked personality and sat unnoticeable within the trail-running community.
The trail-running community is tiny when compared to the world of running or hiking, but this is exactly where Trailmix are trying to position themselves, as the market leader for information and news.
With this strategy in mind, I created a striking and punchy brand which utilises strong typography and bold colour, whilst remaining within an organic and natural palette, reflective of the colours in nature seen when trail-running.
We ended up with a minimalist logotype style logo, with slight tweaks to the characters to allow for some originality within the font. With this, combined with the punchy brand colours & topographic lines allows for an exciting and intriguing look and feel.
